Christianity is a faith centered around the belief in Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of humanity. According to Christian teachings, the universe was created by one God who spoke it into existence. The story goes back to the creation of Adam and Eve, who were forbidden to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Tempted by Satan, both Adam and Eve disobeyed God, leading to their expulsion from the Garden of Eden and the introduction of death as a consequence of their actions.
Generations later, a man named Abraham was chosen by God to create a great nation that would eventually bring forth a Messiah to free humanity from sin and death. The birth of Jesus marked a pivotal moment in Christianity, as believers consider him to be the promised Messiah. Jesus, born to a virgin named Mary, lived a sinless life and offered himself as a sacrificial atonement for the sins of mankind, paying the price for humanity’s transgressions.
Following his death, Jesus rose from the dead after three days, demonstrating victory over death and providing access to heaven for those who have faith in him. After appearing to many people over forty days, Jesus ascended into heaven, where he now reigns with God the Father. The Holy Spirit was sent to guide and instruct his followers, and it is believed that Jesus will return to judge all individuals, offering eternal life to those who believe in him and eternal death to those who do not, thereby fulfilling the Gospel message of Christianity as the good news for humanity.
